The UX300e now has a better electric range than before thanks to a larger 64kWh usable battery pack

Lexus Australia has announced pricing and specifications for its 2023 UX300e small electric SUV.

The brand has confirmed that the updated UX300e will feature a larger battery pack than before, with the model now using a 64kWh usable battery pack.

This is a significant 34 percent increase from the last version of the car which had just 45kWh usable capacity and a WLTP range of 305km.

Although Lexus claims an electric NEDC range of 560km,  a more realistic WLTP figure has not been claimed. According to overseas data, the range of the updated 2023 UX300e is  440km (WLTP).

Entry pricing will start from $79,990 before on-road costs for the Luxury and $88,490 before on-road costs for the top-spec Sports Luxury, the latter of which is slightly more expensive than before.

The UX300e is not a dedicated EV, and is instead based on the Toyota TNGA-C platform that also underpins the current Toyota Corolla and Corolla Cross small SUV.
