Volkswagen confirms ample stock for Touareg, Arteon and Passat amid Tiguan supply woes

Supply may be tight for Volkswagen’s popular Tiguan SUV but the brand says there are some models available if you want to get your hands on a new car right now.

Volkswagen says there continues to be ample supply of its Touareg large SUV, Arteon liftback and Shooting Brake along with both the Passat wagon and its pumped-up Alltrack variant.

Stock is also strong for the T-Roc small SUV – including for its full-fat R performance variant – with over 4000 units available to Australian buyers.

The situation is more complicated for the popular Tiguan so we’ve covered this matter in a separate article, with a number of special editions currently available as Volkswagen prepares for a shortfall in supply from the second quarter of this year.

Five-years of free servicing still available

It comes after Volkswagen shipped 1000 Touaregs to Australia in the second half of last year and in doing so offered an easily accessible alternative to the supply-plagued and very popular Toyota Land Cruiser – a situation that largely continues unchanged.

Five years of free servicing is still available on some models

Volkswagen also continues to offer its five-year free servicing deal on select models, with the aforementioned Arteon, Passat and Touareg all eligible for the deal if the customer’s car is delivered by the 31st of March 2023.

Given that stock is readily available at dealers, this deal can still be seized upon though it’s only available to private buyers currently.
