Tesla has opened up its charging network to Ford vehicles in the US
  • Tesla continues to open up its Supercharger fast-charging locations in the USA to more manufacturers, providing much more options for owners stateside.
  • Ford was the first manufacturer to be granted access, which began on February 29, 2024, but more, including Rivian, who will be next, will be able to use Tesla charging locations.
  • The move by Tesla allows EV owners to charge at more than 15,000 locations across the United States, using an adaptor.
  • As of 2023, in Australia, Tesla has opened up roughly half of its charging stations to non-Tesla vehicles. You just need to install the Tesla app, with an adapter not necessary as Australian-delivered Teslas are fitted with the common CCS plug type.
