The all-new 2027 Haval H7 SUV line-up has been priced for Australia, brings a choice of hybrid and PHEV powertrains in either Lux or Vanta grades, starting from $45,990 driveaway on limited offer.
At 4.8 metres in length and boasting boxy exterior styling, the new Haval H7 brings a promise of strong performance – up to 4.9sec 0-100km/h for PHEV versions – and all-terrain capability.
The HEV self-charging hybrid powertrain option outputs 182kW and 670Nm combined, blending drive from a 110kW/240Nm 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with 80kW/170Nm front and 130kW/260Nm rear electric motors.
The claimed returns are 7.0-second 0-100km/h performance with 7.0L/100km combined consumption WLTP.
Offered in Lux ($45,990 D/A) and high-spec Vanta ($49,990 D/A) guises, the HEV twins fit Haval’s Hi4 intelligent all-wheel drive system as standard, as well as a rear locking LSD and a suite of eight drive modes (including dedicated snow, sand, mud and towing calibrations).
Meanwhile the PHEV format features the same 110kW/240Nm 1.5 turbo four and 80kW/170Nm front motor with a stronger 150kW/260Nm rear unit, for combining for a superior 320kW peak (and identical 670Nm torque summit).
It fits the same Hi4 all-paw drive and rear locking differential.
However, with support of a 33.7kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the PHEV version brings up to 137kms of claimed electric-only drive, dropping its advertised combined consumption to 0.9L/100kms, complete with a range claim of 844kms. PHEVs add 6.0kW vehicle to load (V2L) functionality.
Performance for the PHEV skyrockets above the HEV, to 4.9sec 0-100km/h claimed.
The entry Lux PHEV ($49,990 D/A) and Vanta PHEV ($53,990 D/A) represent a four- and three-grand upcharge HEVs, though Lux variants benefit from $1000 ‘launch driveaway’ offer for the new model’s initial roll-out.
