The Chinese automaker’s first seven-seat SUV is now on sale in Australia, available in three grades and priced from $41,990 driveaway
Chery Australia has announced pricing and specifications for its first seven-seat SUV in Australia, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max. It’s now on sale in Australia.
As a more affordable three-row SUV, it competes with the likes of the Mahindra XUV700, the LDV D90 and even mainstay seven-seat midsize SUVs such as the Mitsubishi Outlander and Honda CR-V, the new Tiggo 8 will be available in three variants: Urban, Elite and Ultimate.
Pricing starts from $41,990 for the base front-drive Urban, $43,990 for the mid-tier, front-drive Elite and $47,990 for the flagship all-wheel drive Ultimate, all of which are priced driveaway. .
The Tiggo 8 SUV is the third model to be introduced by Chery locally, following on from the Omoda 5 and the Tiggo 7 SUVs. An all-electric Omoda E5 is due in 2024.
The 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 is now available to buy through local Chery dealerships.

All Tiggo 8 SUVs are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine which produces 180kW/375Nm. The Urban and Elite grades are front-wheel drive and are assisted by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Ultimate grade gains all-wheel drive and retains the same seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Claimed fuel economy for the front-drive variants is 8.1L/100km, while the all-wheel drive Ultimate is 8.7L/100km. Fuel tank capacity is 57 litres.
