Volkswagen Tiguan Adventure on sale in Australia

Following a plethora of special Golfs, the run of limited edition Volkswagen products continues this week with the launch of the Tiguan Adventure.

Based on the mid-spec Comfortline 132TSI petrol and 110TDI diesel models, the Tiguan Adventure introduces some new equipment to the local range, including a newly designed front bumper with a 24-degree approach angle for more off-road ability and a 14-way powered driver’s seat with massaging functionality.

Priced from $43,990 for the 132TSI and $44,490 plus on-road costs for the 110TDI, the Tiguan Adventure also adds LED headlights with LED daytime driving lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, electric-folding mirrors with puddle lamps, an electric tailgate with hands-free functionality and under body protection.

Inside the Tiguan Adventure, Volkswagen has also taken the opportunity to add extra equipment, including half cloth/suede ‘comfort sport’ upholstery with heated front seats. The driver’s seat has been upgraded to a 14-way electric adjustable unit with memory functionality and even massaging ability, using the car’s lumbar adjustment.

Keyless entry and start also feature, as does special Tiguan Adventure badging on the rear and on the side sills in the front doors. Finally, a new colour from the Mk7.5 Golf, Atlantic Blue, is available and roof racks from the Volkswagen Genuine Accessory range have been added to ‘increase practicality whilst touring’.

Being a Volkswagen, there are optional extras available, including $700 metallic paint, a $2,000 panoramic sunroof and a $2,000 Driver Assistance Package, which adds radar cruise control, Volkswagen’s Active Info Display digital dials, blind-spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, lane assist with lane departure warning and a 360-degree parking camera with automatic parallel and 90-degree parking.
