2019 Mitsubishi Outlander on sale in Australia

Mitsubishi Motors Australia has announced the upgraded 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander , with new equipment on all models, as well as cosmetic upgrades, suspension tweaks and an upgraded interior. Priced from $29,290 plus on-road costs, the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is in dealerships now.

Largely a specification update for the 2019 model year, the current generation Outlander appears better value and more modern than before, whilst according to Mitsubishi is ‘more dynamic and comfortable’ than ever.

Visual changes for the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander are limited to a new grille design with a chrome blade, newly designed front and rear bumpers for ‘greater aerodynamics’, as well as new 18-inch alloy wheels across the range. According to Mitsubishi, to enhance the Outlander’s performance, new structural bonding has increased rigidity while changes to exhaust manifold catalytic converter has also reduced engine noise.

The Outlander’s steering has also been revised to give greater feel and responsiveness, whilst the suspension has been retuned to give a more comfortable ride, yet superior body control.

On the inside of the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, the front seats have been redesigned to be more comfortable, whilst new seat trims are included on all models (cloth on the ES, leather on the LS and Exceed). Four automatic windows are now standard, whilst the window controls are now illuminated. LS models receive a four-way power adjustable passenger seat as well as leather-look door panels and seating. All models now receive an adjustable speed limiter, while automatic variants receive rear air vents and a rear USB charging port.

As before, the Outlander is available with three engines – a 110kW/190Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine in front-wheel drive (ES manual only) , a 124kW/220Nm 2.4-litre petrol engine in both front- (ES, ES ADAS and LS) and all-wheel drive (ES, ES ADAS, LS and Exceed), and a 110kW/360Nm 2.2-litre turbo diesel in all-wheel drive (LS and Exceed). Claimed fuel economy is listed as 7.0L/100km for the 2.0-litre petrol manual, 7.2L/100km for the 2.4-litre petrol in both front- and all-wheel drive forms, and 6.2L/100km for the all-wheel drive 2.2-litre diesel.
