Lexus RZ600e F Sport Performance 2026: most-powerful model yet brings yoke steering and $135K price tag

Japanese luxury marque Lexus has unveiled its most-powerful car ever, and one of its most exclusive: the RZ600e F Sport Performance.

Is that a successor to the legendary LFA? No. Instead, the RZ600e F Sport Performance is the new pinnacle of Lexus’s RZ electric SUV lineup. Only nine examples of the new performance electric flagship are coming to Australia.

Each of the nine will list $135,000 before on-roads, cheaper than the Audi SQ6 e-tron ($151,318 before on-roads) but exceeding its most obvious rival, the Genesis GV60 Magma ($130,000 before on-roads) and its related Hyundai Ioniq 5 N ($114,918 before on-roads).

The price is a $30,080 leap from the RZ550e below it in range, with which the RZ600e shares its 77kWh lithium-ion battery.

It also shares its two electric motors – one at each axle, each making 167kW and 269Nm. Some retuning raises combined maximum power to 313kW, 13kW more than the RZ550e. 

As 313kW converts to 420 horsepower, there appears no statistical relevancy to the ‘600’ in the name.

The RZ600e earns its $30K markup with enhancements, including suspension changes. It’s 20mm lower than other RZs, and has new, handling-focussed dampers and spring rates.

Also fitted are bigger brakes (400mm front, 317mm rear) and much wider tyres. Measuring 255/40R21 at the front and 295/35R21 at the rear, the latter is 40mm wider than standard.

The RZ600e’s aero kit encompasses a ‘carbon’ front spoiler, vented bonnet, rear diffuser and spoiler, and mouldings on the doors.

For $5000 the bodykit can be paired with two-tone matte white paint.

The RZ’s polarising by-wire yoke steering wheel is fitted inside, on which paddles are fitted for the Lexus Interactive Manual Drive, a simulated eight-speed gearbox. The RZ600e gains ultrasuede upholstery.

Also inside are heated seats front and rear, ventilated front seats with electric adjustment, two-zone aircon, a wireless charger and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson stereo.

The skerrick of Australian-market RZ600e F Sport Performances arrive in showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2026.
