New Volkswagen Golf Australian driveaway pricing announced

The hotly-anticipated 2017 Volkswagen Golf 7.5 update officially lands in Australia next week, and to stir up customer demand for the updated Golf’s launch, Volkswagen have announced sharp driveaway deals with the range starting from under $24,000 on-the-road.

In the hatchback league, the basic Golf 110TSI is being offered for $23,990 driveaway for the manual, or $26,490 driveaway for the DSG automatic. The base car has a leather steering wheel, autonomous emergency braking, an 8-inch screen with smartphone mirroring, and 16-inch alloys.

Next is the 110TSI Trendline hatch ($25,490 manual driveaway, $27,990 DSG driveaway), which adds auto lights and wipers, front seat lumbar, and unique alloys. Or, the 110TSI Comfortline hatch ($29,990 DSG driveaway) adds further features including navigation, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloys, and upgraded front seats.

The luxurious Highline hatch ($35,990 petrol driveaway, $38,490 diesel driveaway) adds premium touches like leather seats, heated in the front and with power adjustment for the driver, a sunroof, and LED headlights.

The Golf wagon range mirrors the specification of the hatch, and moves from the $29,990 driveaway 110TSI Trendline wagon, to the $31,990 driveaway 110TSI Comfortline wagon and the pair of Highline wagons – priced at $37,990 driveaway for the 110TSI petrol and $40,490 for the 110TDI diesel.

The Golf Alltrack is an off-roading version of the Golf wagon that features standard all-wheel-drive. It’s being offered from $35,990 driveaway for an Alltrack 132TSI model, which is powered by a 1.8-litre turbo four making 132kW of power and 280Nm of torque. The model features cloth seats, dual-zone climate control, the 8-inch display with smartphone mirroring, and 17-inch alloys.

From there, it’s a step up to the Alltrack Premium 132TSI ($39,990 driveaway) or the Alltrack Premium 135TDI diesel ($42,990 driveaway), which adds leather seats, sat nav, and LED headlights among other luxury touches.
