MINI Seven special edition launched in Australia

Another news day, another special edition from MINI. This time, we’re talking about the MINI Seven edition, which adds special equipment for $2,000 more than the Cooper, Cooper D or Cooper S on which its based. The Seven is only available on hatchback models, so not the Clubman, convertible or Countryman.

Following the Ray special edition, MINI says that the Seven limited edition adds an extra $5,000 worth of extra value for MINI buyers in Australia. The Seven package is available on all three- and five-door hatchback models between now and July 31st, or until stocks last.

“With the MINI Seven we’re bringing exceptional quality and added value to our customers,” said MINI Australia general manager Tony Sesto.

“This regeneration of an iconic name is being done in a fashion typical of MINI. The Seven package is exclusive and premium, combining functionality with fun, and with $5000 worth of added value for customers it’s a limited time offer worth taking advantage of.”

The MINI Seven limited edition models feature extra equipment compared to the models on which they’re based. Choose a Cooper or Cooper D, and you receive 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and a John Cooper Works rear spoiler. Cooper S models gain larger 18-inch alloy wheels.

Exterior paint options for the MINI Seven include Lapis Luxury Blue, Pepper White and the token British Racing Green. MINI says these colour choices are ‘perfectly complemented” by the contrasting roof and mirror caps, which are only available in Melting Silver.

Of course, the MINI Seven editions also come with bonnet stripes in the same Melting Silver, this time with Malt brown pinstripes and chrome side scuttles with the Seven 7 emblem.

The MINI Seven edition interior isn’t forgotten about either; the Seven 7 emblem is featured on the door sills and infotainment screen surround. For Cooper and Cooper D models, the interior also includes the Multimedia Essentials package with navigation, the ‘Visual Boost Multimedia’ interface, a reversing camera and Bluetooth audio streaming, as well as cloth/leather upholstery in Carbon Black with Malt Brown detailling.

Cooper S models further gain full Carbon Black leather, and a sportier ‘MINI Yours’ steering wheel.
