Haval H6 2021: range detailed with sharp driveaway pricing

A kitted-out midsize SUV can often set buyers back well over $60,000 but Haval has committed to their value-focused ethos and priced the H6 on par with many far smaller SUVs.

Haval has unveiled the full price list for the 2021 H6 midsize SUV which could see you climb into a fully-loaded, leather-clad and all-wheel-drive model for $38,990 driveaway.

Kicking off the range is the H6 Premium which is priced from $30,990 driveaway with a choice of three grades with a choice of front or all-wheel-drive.

Haval is offering the new H6 in three grades ranging from $30,990 to $38,990 driveaway.

Fitted to all three grades is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque that is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

As standard, the H6 is fitted with a 10.25-inch centre touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that is paired to an additional 10.25-inch screen that acts as the digital gauge cluster.

For a nicer interior, buyers step up to the H6 Lux which is priced at $33,990 Driveaway which upgrades to synthetic leather seats with front heating and six-way adjustability for the driver, which builds on other niceties such as dual-zone climate control to make the SUV a nicer place to be.

Haval also includes a 360-degree camera, LED fog lights and adaptive cruise control help justify the modest $3,000 price bump – however many of these features are standard on rivals such as the Mazda CX-5

Sitting at the top of the tree is the H6 Ultra which is available in front-wheel-drive guise for $36,990 driveaway and $38,990 driveaway with all-wheel-drive.

Safety is largely standard across the range but only the top-spec H6 Ultra gets rear cross-traffic alert

For the additional cash, Haval has spruced up the interior with a panoramic roof, wireless charger along with a bigger 12.3-inch display and a heads up display. Larger 19-inch wheels give the H6 a more handsome appearance and a power tailgate is also a nice addition.

The safety suite is largely standard across the range with blind-spot monitoring, driver fatigue monitoring, lane keep assist, AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection and a reversing camera all fitted to the base model and up but only the H6 Ultra receives rear cross-traffic alert.

The new Haval H6 is now available to buy in Australian showrooms.
