2019 Mercedes-Benz X350d on sale in Australia

The final piece of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class puzzle has been launched in Australia with the 2019 Mercedes-Benz X350d now on sale. Priced from $73,270 plus on-road costs ($80,602 drive away). Featuring a 190kW/550Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, the X350d uses one of the most powerful engines in the ute class.

Aimed squarely at the Volkswagen Amarok 580TDI and Ford Ranger Raptor, the X350d is available in both Progression and Power models, with standard equipment largely mirroring that of the four-cylinder models. The X350d is on sale now.

Featuring an almost-$15,000 price premium over the equivalent four-cylinder X-Class models, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz X350d is powered by a Mercedes 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It produces 190kW of power and 550Nm of torque – the same power but 30Nm less torque than the Volkswagen Amarok 580TDI.

Using a permanent four-wheel drive system, Mercedes claims the X350d can hit 100km/h from 0 in just 7.9 seconds and returns 8.8L/100km on a combined cycle – 0.1L/100km less than the Amarok 580TDI. The X350d is capable of towing the same 3,500kg as the X250d.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz X350d is offered in two specifications – Progression and Power. Pricing starts at $73,270 for the X350d Progression, and includes standard equipment such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, a reversing camera and cruise control.

The X350d Power ($79,415) then adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a 360º parking camera, LED lighting, aluminium interior trim and a black roof liner for a more premium interior ambience. Various option packages and accessories are available for buyers to transform their X-Class as well, and a whole selection of aftermarket accessories from various companies are also available.
