Everest swings in for light update with improved tech, blacked-out exterior, and new model grades ahead of H2 2026 release
The popular Ford Everest large SUV has come in for a series of mid-life changes, available to order from December, with no major price changes.
Tech has been lifted inside, the controversial ‘wet’ belt bi-turbo diesel engine has been deleted, and there’s more black outside. Deliveries will start in mid-2026 after existing ‘MY25.25’ stock clears out.
Ford has removed the Ambiente and Trend grades from its Everest line up, replacing them with a new Active entry trim for $58,990, before on-road costs — $500 cheaper than the old bi-turbo Ambiente 4×4, but up $4500 on the outgoing rear-drive entry point.
Arriving standard with the revised single-turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel (125kW/405Nm), Ford will additionally offer its 184kW/600Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 on the new Active – a first for entry grade Everest models.
Inside, the Everest Active features leather-accented seats, a 12-inch infotainment screen, 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), LED headlamps, and five seats. A seven-seat layout is optional, to the tune of $1350.
The Everest Active will predominantly rival Toyota’s LandCruiser Prado GX, priced from $72,500, and the Isuzu MU-X LS-M, which starts from $49,900.
Everest Sport, Tremor and Platinum trim grades will remain available. The Sport and Tremor gain a standard equipment 360-degree camera, while the Sport additionally gains a TPMS.
The Everest Tremor gains its ‘premium seat pack’ as standard equipment, adding heated, ventilated, power-adjust front seats, as well as the no-cost option to delete the third row.
No changes are slated for the range topping Ranger Platinum.
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
