Outback Orange and Misty Grey added to hybrid ute’s exterior palette, and dual deals to tempt buyers
BYD’s popular Shark 6 plug-in hybrid ute is now available in a wider choice of colours, while Australian buyers are being further tempted with a temporary deals.
The ute is now available in striking Outback Orange or Misty Grey, adding to the trio of exterior paints offered when the Shark was released in early 2025. The new hues don’t play on the model’s name like the original colours – Great White, Deep Sea Blue and Tidal Black.
Great White is the only standard colour, with a $700 charge for the others.
The BYD Shark 6 continues to be offered in a single ‘Premium’ trim grade.
A drive-away deal lasting to the end of September 2025 has reduced the price of the Shark ute from about $61,000 to $59,400 (NSW pricing), based on an unchanged $57,900 RRP.
BYD Australia has also added a $2000 “dealership incentive” for September, whereby Shark buyers receive the bonus to spend on servicing, accessories, car care, or charging solutions.
