New-gen Pro-4X Warrior confirmed! Flagship 2026 Nissan Navara concept teases forthcoming production version

Nissan’s Ranger Raptor and Hilux GR Sport nemesis primed for a reboot in next year’s D27 generation

Nissan Australia and Victorian-based engineering firm Premcar will once again collaborate on a hard-core off-road Warrior version of the Navara, as previewed overnight in concept form alongside the global reveal of the new D27 generation ute.

Formally called the Navara Pro-4X Warrior Concept, the one-off teaser display vehicle boasts “a comprehensive package of proposed modifications” as applied to the forthcoming range-topper of the regular Navara lineup.

The Concept adds a lifted ride height with specific suspension tuning, featuring front coil springs and dampers finished in Lava Red, as well as a wider track afforded by the fitment of altered-offset 17-inch wheels. Rubber of choice is huge 32.2-inch all-terrain tyres.

Elsewhere, the Pro-4X Warrior gets an “enhanced” bullbar design with body coloured wings and front guard flare extenders, front overriders, a unique light bezel and retro-inspired aftermarket driving lamps.

The Warrior’s improved approach angle protection is augmented furthered with a multi-piece underbody bash plate system, finished in concept form in bright Lava Red. Extra recovery points have also been added.

Other styling tweaks include Warrior side door decals, Lava Red elements in the fender flares, a tub liner, a tailgate assist mechanism, a bespoke Pro-4X sail plane and various other Warrior branding touches.

It’s unclear as to whether Nissan and Premcar will enhance the powertrain of the new Triton-based D27 generation Warrior – to date, its forebear’s modifications have been mostly limited to hard-ware updates focused on off-road terrain capabilities.

The regular Navara range, that also debuted overnight, features the related Triton’s twin-turbo 2.4-litre diesel four outputting 150kW and 470Nm, with a six-speed automatic transmission and full-time high-range-capable all-wheel-drive system fitting a Torsen rear LSD in high-spec ST-X and Pro-4X guises.

While timing is yet to be confirmed for the production Warrior, this hard-core version is not expected to launch in conjunction with the mainline D27 Navara range, set for a late Q1 release (March) next year.
