Skoda confirms a slew of hybrid and electric RS models for Oz

Key future releases through 2027 officially confirmed by Skoda Australia

Skoda Australia has revealed to Chasing Cars details of key model releases being rolled out through to 2027 at this week’s local launch of its debut mid-size electric SUV, the Elroq.

It has been confirmed that a Kamiq 130 Years Edition will join the Skoda portfolio in what’s shaping up as a busy Q4 for the brand’s local arm.

At $45,990 driveaway, the 130 Years Edition sits atop the Monte Carlo as a high-spec 110TSI-powered variant, the first version of the nameplate to offer leather/Alcantara trim.

Come Q2 2026, the just-launched mid-sized Elroq electric – imminently launched in base 85 ($59,990 driveaway) and 130 Years Edition ($69,990 D/A) guises – will get a red-hot high-performance Elroq RS version come Q2 2026.

Skoda Australia has not revealed further details about the local Elroq RS trim, though it’s expected to mirror Europe’s 250kW dual-motor specifications – 5.4sec for 0-100km/h – and command over $60K list.

Further, the soon-to-be-launched (next month) updated Enyaq large electric SUV will be joined by two red-hot RS versions around the middle of 2026 in Australia, and will be offered in both coupe and wagon body styles.

Skoda Australia also announced that the much rumoured plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of its large Superb sedan/wagon and Kodiaq large SUV have been officially approved for Australia release and are set to debut in the second half of 2026.

Bolstering Skoda current slim hybrid credentials is also the confirmation that a mild-hybrid (MHEV) version of the Octavia midsize liftback and wagon line-up is coming in 2026, though exact timing and further details are unclear.

Further ahead in 2027, the current Enyaq large and Elroq midsize SUVs will be joined by the Epiq small electric SUV.

The trio of local electric family haulers will later be topped by a fourth, upper-large three-row electric SUV production iteration of a vehicle Skoda currently calls the Vision 7S SUV.

Interesting, not on the list of confirmed new local Skoda product releases through 2027 is the electric Octavia wagon recently teased by the brand and that’s due to be unveiled at the Munich motor show next month.
